Longarm Quilting Services

Dash of Thread Quilt Studio offers a variety of longarm quilting services including:

• Edge to Edge (E2E)--rows of one design across the entire quilt

• Light Custom--rows of one design across the main body of the quilt and separate border design

• Moderate Custom--custom quilting in border, sashing and blocks

• Computer-generated quilting--computer-guided quilting using Pro-Stitcher Premium

• Free-motion quilting (FMQ)--hand-guided quilting

The Quilting Plan

• We will discuss your longarm quilting options and your vision for your finished quilt. We will specify quilt design, quilt density and thread color before the quilting process begins, so that you have a voice in the quilting plan and know what to expect in the final product.

Design Options

• Do you envision a flowered quilting design for your daughter's quilt? How about ducks or trucks for your grandson? Maybe hearts for a wedding quilt? Pumpkins or leaves to complement a fall-themed quilt? Perhaps stars for a patriotic quilt? Sometimes loops, swirls, circles, waves, squiggles or straight lines best suit your quilt top. Dash of Thread Quilt Studio offers hundreds of quilting designs. And we can purchase just about any computerized quilting design that is not already in our library.

Pricing

• Longarm services are priced by the quilt top square inch.

• Low-density edge to edge is two cents per square inch. For example, a 60" X 80" quilt top starts at $96.

         (60 X 80 = 4,800 square inches x $0.02 = $96)

• Higher density quilting as well as border, sashing and block treatment cost more. Minimum charge $50.

• Customer supplies quilt top, backing and quality batting.

• Turnaround is normally within two weeks, sometimes faster.
